On Sunday\, February 23rd\, the War of the Roses rages on—where love\, loathing\, and everything in between collide on the dancefloor. \nIn true Descent fashion\, we’re inviting you to pick your side: wear red if you’re a hopeless romantic\, unashamed to celebrate passion and devotion\, or wear black if you’re over it—done with Cupid’s nonsense and ready to dance your frustrations into the ground. No judgment\, no sides\, no drama—just a community of beautiful souls embracing the night together\, whether they love the holiday or love to hate it. \nThe soundtrack for the evening will pull you in and keep you moving: a pulse-pounding mix of goth\, industrial\, and EBM\, expertly curated to stir your heart\, your energy\, or maybe that dark little place where your feelings go to brood. Whether you’re out to embrace the romantic spirit or exorcise it from your system\, the music will deliver. \nWhat matters most is showing up. Descent is—and always has been—a place for everyone. A welcoming\, safe haven where hearts can beat loudly\, quietly\, or somewhere in between. Whether you’re celebrating a new love\, mourning an old one\, or just looking to lose yourself under the lights\, this night is yours. \nDoors open at 9 PM. Wear your colors\, bring your energy\, and let’s make this night unforgettable. \nDescent: where passion\, darkness\, and music unite. 🖤🌹 \nEvent Code of Conduct\n1. CONSENT MATTERS \nYes means yes. Always obtain explicit verbal consent before engaging in any physical or intimate activity. If someone doesn’t give a clear “yes\,” then it’s a “no.” This applies to all conduct within the club including\, but not limited to\, physical touch\, photographs\, recording video\, etc \n2. SET CLEAR BOUNDARIES \nCommunicate your boundaries clearly to other attendees. Be clear. If you feel that setting boundaries will jeopordize your personal safety\, please approach a Descent Staff Member \n3. APPROACH DESCENT STAFF FOR SUPPORT \nApproach any Descent Staff Member for support on any issues that are a cause for concern. For confidentiality\, staff may not be able to disclose the outcomes to you. Trust that staff are following up. If you still feel it’s not being addressed\, ask to speak to DJ Surreal. \n3. HEED WARNINGS FROM STAFF \nReported inappropriate behaviour will results in warning from Descent or club staff. Staff will be monitoring for further infractions after a warning has been given. Failure to comply with requests or warnings from staff can result in being asked to leave the event. \n4. ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY \nAny form of discrimination\, hate-speech\, repeated harassment\, assault\, or non-consensual behavior is grounds for immediate removal from the event and potential further consequences.
